3-Day Film & Darkroom Workshop

This is an opportunity to study darkroom and camera technique with one of the foremost authorities working today. Application of techniques found in Anchell’s three best-selling books, The Darkroom Cookbook, The Variable Contrast Printing Manual and The Film Developing Cookbook will be emphasized.

Each 3-day workshop is tailored to the skill level, interests and goals of the student, who will receive personalized instruction in the field and in Steve’s 4-enlarger darkroom. Students may use any format of film camera, from 35mm to large-format.

This program is designed for individuals or up to four photographers enrolling together. The workshop includes three days of instruction.

The first morning will begin with a viewing and discussion of the photographer’s work. The final session, will cover print mounting and presentation.

Steve works with all levels of photographers, from those who have never been in the darkroom to those who have spent much of their life in one. If you want to learn how to use film or improve on what you are doing, this is your best opportunity.

Tuition for one student:  $750
 
Tuition for two or more:  $650 each
  
Lab Fee: $75 per person.
 
Meals and accomodations are not included. Students may arrange to stay at Betty DeHamer's B&B, 503.399.7848, or the Bookmark B&B, 503.399.2013, both three blocks from Steve's home in Salem.
