From 1981 to 1990 I spent every available opportunity to travel parts of legendary highway Route 66 from Lake Shore in Chicago to the Santa Monica Pier. My interest was not in what was dead but what was still alive. These are a few of the over 500 large format images which I made during this period.
The camera used was mostly an Agfa-Ansco 5x7, though one year I used a Toyo 45a Field Camera.
